Celebrating a decade since the release of his acclaimed mixtape ‘Acid Rap’, Chance The Rapper kicked-off a three concert series in his hometown last Saturday night. In front of a sold out United Center, the Chicago native performed an emotionally filled set including favorites from the breakthrough project and hits spanning his catalog.

“This is a really important show for me for a lot of reasons. It is the first time my daughters see me perform, [and] it’s been four years since performing at the United Center,” said Chance. “[I’ll be] performing songs from a very important part of my life.”

Chance’s family - including his parents, brother and two daughters - surprised him on stage for what was supposed to be his final song of the night. Overwhelmed with emotions, he simply shared his gratitude and thanked the 20,000 fans, friends and family for an amazing night. A fitting ending in the city where the rapper launched his career.

Chicago was the first stop of the “Acid Rap 10 Year Anniversary Show.” The celebration continues with upcoming shows in New York (August 26) and Los Angeles (September 21). For tickets and more information, visit ChanceStuff.com.
