Wolf Alice Live At Chicago’s Vic Theatre

Wolf Alice returned to Chicago’s Vic Theatre on Thursday. The English rockers are coming off a high after supporting Harry Styles’ during his European tour this past summer. Now the band is halfway through a headlining tour of their own across North America. The tour kicked off in September at New York’s Terminal 5, which marked the their largest show in the United States. 

Wolf Alics is currently supporting their third studio record, Blue Weekend, which was released the summer of 2021. They also released an EP this past June titled Blue Lullaby, which features reworked lullaby versions of five tracks from Blue Weekend. 

Thursday’s show featured 9 of the 11 tracks off of their latest LP, which has received widespread acclaim and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize in 2021. Highlights from the night included performances of “Smile”, "The Last Man on Earth" and “No Hard Feelings.”

Wolf Alice also played favorites from their first two records, including “You’re A Gem” from their debut album My Love Is Cool, and an encore performance of "Don't Delete the Kisses" from their sophomore LP Visions of a Life.
