Chicago’s new music venue The Salt Shed to open with shows from Jason Isbell, Lake Street Dive, Fleet Foxes, and more

The former site of Morton Salt in Chicago is being transformed into a sprawling indoor/outdoor music venue dubbed The Salt Shed. Chicago’s newest stage will be host to an impressive summer lineup. Here’s a list of the announced summer shows:

8/3 - Fleet Foxes

8/10 - Sharon Van Etten/Angel Olsen/Julien Baker

8/12 - Andrew Bird & Iron & Wine

8/13 - Lake Street Dive w/ Madison Cunningham

8/15 - Lord Huron w/ First Aid Kit

8/20 - Mt. Joy

8/25 - Jorja Smith

9/23 - Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit w/ Shemekia Copeland

Operated by 16” on Center, the production company behind staple Chicago venues like Thalia Hall and Empty Bottle, the venue will host its first show on August 3rd, headlined by Fleet Foxes. The complex stretches over 1.5 acres and will be a multi-purpose space, also hosting bars, retail pop-up events, markets, and more.

Tickets for all announced concerts at The Salt Shed in Chicago go on sale on February 18th at 10 a.m. CT.
