The Backseat Lovers released their sophomore album, Waiting To Spill, just over two weeks ago and are playing the album in its entirety in seven cities across the United States. Last week, they invited Chicago fans to stop by the Riviera Theatre for a listen.

The Utah-based indie rockers, consisting of Joshua Harmon (lead vocals, guitar), Jonas Swanson (lead guitar, vocals), KJ Ward (bass), and Juice Welch (drums, vocals), played all 10 tracks from Waiting To Spill, including singles "Growing/Dying", "Close Your Eyes", and "Slowing Down”. The LP is the band’s first major label record via Capitol Records.

The quartet also played favorites from their DIY debut album, When We Were Friends, including “Pool House”, “Maple Syrup” and their most successful single “Kilby Girl”, which has reach almost 200 million streams on Spotify.

After wrapping up their U.S. dates, The Backseat Lovers will kick off their 2023 tour in Europe as soon as January. The band will return to the States in April with shows scheduled through June 2023.
